We all know that Queen Victoria was the one who started the tradition of wearing a white wedding gown. Previously, women wore red or another color of simply a nice or new dress. While Queen Victoria did seem to be the pioneer for many of today's wedding traditions, she wasn't the only one at that wedding who started a tradition.
Her husband, Prince Albert, also broke from tradition in that he wore his military dress uniform for his wedding instead of traditional formal attire. He started a trend that many military men, including royals, still continue to this day. With so many of today's wedding traditions originating in Victorian times, it in't surprising that even the groom had a contribution!
